Caspian Plover on Texel in April 2011
On 26-28 April 2011, an adult-summer male Caspian Plover Charadrius asiaticus stayed at De Nederlanden on Texel, Noord-Holland, the Netherlands. This is the second record for the Netherlands, after a first-year on the same island on 17-20 October 2009.
