| This bird present here all afternoon. Singing every few minutes. Reacting on playback of Chiffchaff. Four parts can be heared: 1 call 2 song 3 song 4 song followed by some calls Recorded with iPhone, so no great quality. At home amplified with about 10dB. Please comment on the ID of this bird. Note that no song common song of European Chiffchaff was heared from this bird today! | |

exacte locatie: 52.385, 4.611
Langs slootje westkant Haarlem, tegen Bloemendaal aan. Rijdt Houtmanpad af en loop enkele 100en meters. Tot wit bruggetje (hoog). Daar zat de vogel de hele middag.
Hoor graag van andere waarnemers wat ze van de vogel vinden.

Zang weet ik even (nog) niet, er is al veel over geschreven (en er zal ook nog wel meer volgen), maar het in het geheel niet als gewone Tjif zingen wijst natuurlijk sterk in de richting van Iberische. Ook de roep is in elk geval m.i. helemaal prima voor Iberische! |

It's clear now that we are dealing with a rather typical Iberian Chiffchaff. ID clues include typical song, call quite like tristis, pale and yellowish bird with pale legs.

| Kapser is right, but the call is (typically) downslurred, reminiscent of Bullfinch Pyrrhula pyrrhula, not like tristis (which has a call at more or less one frequency). |
