Solutions of the Fifth round 2008


Green Sandpiper / Tringa ochropus
IX This bird could be identified as a Green Sandpiper Tringa ochropus. It was photographed at bird ringing station Meijendel, Wassenaar, Zuid-Holland, the Netherlands by Ben Wielstra. The identification of the bird is extensively discussed in Dutch Birding 30: 413-414, 2008.

X This bird depicted in mystery photograph VI is a Lesser Crested Tern Sterna bengalensis. It was photographed at the Red Sea coast of Egypt on 3 October 2007 by Edwin Winkel. The identification of the bird is discussed in Dutch Birding 30: 413-414, 2008.

Winners
