Just after the paper went in press, the authors of the buttonquail paper received information that an Andalusian Buttonquail was heard in Tarifa, Cádiz, Spain, in 2000 (Tom Gullick in litt). For the other recent unconfirmed reports from Spain, see p 82 of the paper.
